My name is Señora Nelson and I will be teaching Spanish 1 this year at Lakeview. I am originally from Seattle, Washington, where I still visit quite often to see my family and friends.
I graduated with my Bachelors in Education from Western Washington University in 1998. WWU is located in Bellingham, Washington (just south of Vancouver, Canada). It was during her time at Western that she began to fall in love with the Spanish Language and Culture after several service trips to Mexico and Guatemala.
I have spent many years both teaching in the classroom and traveling to various Spanish Speaking Countries.
This is my first year at Lakeview Middle School. I am very excited to get to meet my students and begin working together with them, as they learn the basics of the Spanish language and culture.
We will be learning a lot of Spanish this year and will have a ton of fun in the process!
